Pipes can be combined with Pipe Waterproof to allow them to make Waterproof Pipes that can transport liquids or with redstone to make Conductive Pipes to allow them to transport energy. There are 8 different types of pipes all with unique functions, these are Wooden, Cobblestone, Stone, Sandstone, Iron, Gold, Diamond and Obsidian. Pipes are used to transport items, liquids and power between inventories.Redstone engines however cannot explode if they are connected to anything that accepts energy such as a wooden pipe. If the engine gets too hot then it will explode. Engines turn on when they are powered by redstone, and slowly speed up as they heat up. the electrical engine which uses IC2 power (EU), and produces MJ power. Other mods included in FTB such as Forestry and Railcraft add more engines to the game, e.g. They can also be used to pull items out of inventories with a wooden pipe. Engines are used to power the machines and builders.Tank: A simple stackable tank rather than a machine, it can store liquids, including lava, water, Oil, and fuel.Refinery: This machine, when powered by a stirling engine or better, will slowly convert oil into fuel, which is much more efficient for powering combustion engines than crude oil.A nearby chest will have materials pulled out of it to be used. Autocrafting Table: This machine, when supplied a recipe and ingredients, will pump out crafted items.Pump: This machine will pump liquids and transport them through waterproof pipes.Mining Well: This machine will dig straight down until it reaches lava or bedrock.Quarry: This machine will mine an area down until it reaches lava or bedrock.They all require Redstone Flux (RF) energy to function, provided by one or more engines. In BuildCraft, there are a variety of machines that can be used to automate processes. For example, Thermal Expansion’s machinery needs MJ. MJ is used to power BuildCraft and BuildCraft-compatible machines.

Pipes are used to transport items, fluids, and mechanical energy between inventories/machines. The biggest additions of BuildCraft are Pipes and MJ (Minecraft Joules). It adds many machines for automating tasks, and pipes for transportation of items, liquids, and energy. It is a mod that extends Minecraft with a system of powered machines and tools.
Of course, transporting items is not free and every 16 items will consume 1 vis from the local aura.BuildCraft Mod (1.12.2, 1.7.10) is a very big mod that allows for automation in Minecraft. However while one of the paired mirrors is picked up, you may easily relink either of them. When you pick up a mirror it will remember the last partner it was linked with, allowing you to easily move it without having to relink it. Mirrors can only be linked in pairs, so while both are placed in the world and able to transmit items you cannot link them to another mirror. You may then place the second where ever you wish and items thrown into one will be ejected out the other. You then right click with a second mirror on the one you placed, and the pair will become linked. To link a pair of these magical mirrors you simply need to place one of them in a desired location. Unfortunately, this realm is extremely hostile to mortal creatures like yourself, so using these mirrors to transport living creatures is not yet possible. Anything shoved through the one mirror will pass through this realm and exit through the other mirror - even across dimensional boundaries. Act as doorways to the void between the worlds.
